Therapy or treatment, is the attempted remediation of a health problem, usually following a diagnosis. Physiotherapy Physiotherapy is an established, respected and evidence-based profession, which uses scientifically proven techniques to help many conditions affecting your body.

Massage Therapy Massage is the treatment and practice of manipulation of the soft body tissues with physical, functional, i.e. mechanical, medical/ therapeutic, and in some cases psychological purposes and goals. The word comes from the French massage “friction of kneading,” possibly from Arabic massa “to touch, feel, handle” or from Latin massa “mass, dough”. [2][3] (In distinction the ancient Greek word for massage itself was anatripsis, and the Latin was frictio.) An older etymology may even have been the Hebrew me- sakj “to anoint with oil.”

Electro Therapy Electrotherapy is the use of electrical energy in the treatment of impairments of health and conditions of abnormal functioning. In medicine, the term electrotherapy can apply to a variety of treatments, including the use of direct current in cardio version and the use of electrical devices such as deep brain stimulators for neurological disease. The term has also been applied specifically to the use of electrical current to speed wound healing. Additionally, the term “electrotherapy” has also been applied to a range of alternative medical devices and treatments.

Hydro Therapy Hydrotherapy, formerly called hydropathy involves the use of water for soothing pains and treating diseases. Its use has been recorded in ancient Egyptian, Greek and Roman civilizations. Egyptian royalty bathed with essential oils and flowers, while Romans had communal public baths for their citizens.

Occupational Therapy Occupational Therapy, often abbreviated OT, is the “use of productive or creative activity in the treatment or rehabilitation of physically, cognitively, or emotionally disabled people” (American Heritage Dictionary). A more technical definition is: the use of meaningful occupation to assist people who have difficulty in achieving a healthy and balanced lifestyle and to enable an inclusive society so that all people can participate to their potential in daily occupations of life. Occupational Therapists work with a variety of individuals who have difficulty accessing or performing meaningful occupations. Perhaps the simplest definition: “Occupational Therapy is activity analysis and adaptation”.
